Things You Never Know About Cinnamon!

Cinnamon!  Who doesn’t love this sweet-smelling spice!  It conjures up images of apple pie, cinnamon rolls and sprinkled over hot coffee, what a kick!  And on top of that, there are health benefits to be gained from including cinnamon in your diet.


So what are these health benefits of cinnamon and how do I get them?  I’m about to tell you.

1. Numerous studies show that cinnamon regulates blood sugar which makes it a beneficial choice for managing diabetes.

2. It’s an appetite suppressant, so it’s great for weight loss.  Try incorporating this into your daily diet – it certainly can’t hurt!

3. Cinnamon is packed full of antioxidants, which prevent free radicals from damaging our healthy cells, so it makes sense to use cinnamon as much as possible to stop this process.

4. While cinnamon can help to reduce bad cholesterol or LDL, this can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

5. It is believed that the warmth of cinnamon increases blood flow and improves oxygen levels to help fight off illness and as an anti-inflammatory, can help to reduce inflammation.
