Turmeric – a herb or a natural remedy?

What is turmeric?  We know that universally, this herb is used in cooking, but did you know turmeric is possibly the most powerful herb on the planet at fighting and potentially reversing disease?  Here at StayHealthyTV, we are going to tell you 7 of the health benefits of turmeric and maybe, you will see this wonderful herb in a totally different light !

So let’s begin:
1. Turmeric is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial agent and can be used as an effective disinfectant. If you have a cut or burn, you can sprinkle turmeric powder on the affected area to speed up the healing process.
2. Relieves arthritis.  Turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory properties.  Regular consumption of turmeric can help to manage and naturally reduce inflammation that causes joint pain.  This makes turmeric a helpful home remedy for arthritis and other inflammatory conditions that affect joints.
3. Reduces Cholesterol.  Use turmeric to help naturally reduce levels of cholesterol and keep your blood healthy.  Regular turmeric consumption decreases levels of LDL, the bad cholesterol.

½ cup turmeric powder, ¼ cup cinnamon powder, 2 tsp ground black pepper, 1-2 tbsp ground ginger, ½ tsp cayenne (optional)
