You Will Never Throw Away Onion Skins Again! You Won’t Believe It!

Some of the most nutritious parts of fruit and vegetables are the bits that we throw away!  Seriously!  Onion skins are rich in nutrients that can boost health so before you toss those dry, papery skins, we will share some of their benefits with you.

1 Onion skins contain powerful levels of antioxidants.  In fact, there are more antioxidants in the skin, than the onion itself and these promote fabulous health in the body; they also protect from diseases.

Here’s how to make an onion skin tea:  In a glass jug, put the onion skins and outermost layers of the onion.  Cover these with hot water and leave to steep for 10-15 mins.  Strain and drink before bed.
